July 1, 2007, Parcel Map Book (Tax Maps)
The Parcel Map Book (formerly Tax Map Atlas) shows the location, shape, and size of all acreage parcels and subdivision lots in James City County as compiled from plats and deeds and maintained by the GIS/Mapping Section. Also identified are waterlines, utility easements, and rights-of-way. The Primary Service Area is delineated in the Parcel Map Book, as are the zoning districts. The Parcel Map Book serves only as a reference guide and is not a legally recorded map or survey, and should not be construed as such.
The Parcel Map Book may be purchased by visiting or calling the Real Estate Assessment Division, (757) 253-6650; please refer to the GIS/Mapping Price List or download the pdf version of each tax map by clicking on the tile. The red grid on the map shows the physical extent of each tax map.
