Food Manufacture and Wholesale Food Distributors
All businesses which engage in the manufacture or distribution of foods, beverages, and/or additives of any type (whether on a seasonal basis or not) are required to be registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health. Should you intend to engage in a food-related business of this type, please contact the Commonwealth of Virginia Health Department. The agency will supply you with an informative packet containing food related business information and regulatory requirements. These businesses may also be required to obtain a permit from the Virginia Department of Commerce.

Liquor License
All businesses which sell alcoholic beverages are required to obtain a liquor license, both locally and from the state.
