Historical Commission Historic Preservation Awards
Historic Preservation Awards are presented annually by the Historical Commission to individuals, groups, or organizations that have made a significant contribution to the preservation of historic resources in the County.
2007 Recipient - Mr. Ivor Noel Hume

Mr. Hume worked diligently for over 50 years to establish high standards for quality research in Historical Archaeology at the local, State, National, and International levels and for the large role he has played in the long-term planning and extensive preparations for the 400th Anniversary of Jamestown celebrated this year.
