James City County Community Services
The Department of Community services is an umbrella organization providing coordination and oversight to the various Human Services functions of the County. The six divisions within the Department include:

- Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) is a joint program of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, The U. S. Department of Agriculture, and State and local governments.
