Primary Evacuation Routes in event of a Power Station Emergency

To facilitate notification and selective evacuation of the public, protective action zones corresponding to the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone have been established around the Surry Power Station. A system of numbered protective action zones has been identified for the Surry Power Station. The boundary of the protective action zones roughly corresponds to two-, five-, and 10-mile distances from the nuclear station.
