Disaster Ready Neighborhoods
On June 19, James City County Fire Department, Neighborhood Connections, and the James City County Citizens Corps Council sponsored a Preparedness Celebration to honor those neighborhoods who have demonstrated a commitment towards being prepared for a disaster. There are currently three neighborhoods in the County who have five or more active Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trained team members in their neighborhoods; Ford's Colony (the largest), Longhill Gate and Riverview Plantation. |
