Fire Community Services
In addition to emergency response, the Fire Department's involvement with the community has grown into a model for Public Safety. A variety of programs are in place designed to heighten the public's awareness of fire and life safety issues. James City County Fire Department is also active in area schools, giving students of all ages the chance to learn about, and in some cases, take part in, Fire Department functions.
James City County Fire Department has recognized the importance of change to meet the needs of the community. One the best ways to achieve that goal is to get the citizens familiar and involved with the many facets of the Fire Department.
