Virginia Prepaid Education Program 2007 Enrollment information

The Virginia Prepaid Education Program (VPEP) will re-open for enrollment from October 1, 2006 – January 31, 2007. Enrollment kits will be available in late September. You may also apply on-line beginning October 1, 2005, for newborns through ninth graders. Students who will be in the 10th grade this fall will also be allowed to enroll for this enrollment period only. Application fees have been reduced to $25. (www.virginia529.com)

Program Information

VPEP is on of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Section 529 tax advantaged college savings options sponsored by the Virginia College Savings Plan. Monies set aside can be used at U.S. colleges; the plans allow tax-free earning and withdrawals for college expenses; and participants can deduct their entire investment over time on their Virginia taxable income.
