Human Resource function areas include employment, employee relations, benefits, training, strategic management, policy development and compensation.
Human Resources takes a leadership role in aligning employee conduct so that it is consistent with our organization's vision, mission, goals, and values. We help departments achieve County-wide goals and departmental objectives and strategies. We build the capacity of others.
In addressing issues, we seek the root cause. We look at issues from a systems approach and examine factors related to people, process, and the organization of work. We work collaboratively.
We model customer-centered methods that are effective and efficient. We model the use of technology to improve our processes and increase accessibility to information so that knowledge is shared with others.
We invest in our own learning, apply those learnings, and disseminate those findings internally and externally.
