Get to know the new County Administrator – Come out and meet with Robert “Bob” Middaugh and your Board member and talk about the County’s overall direction, value of services and openness to citizen participation. The meetings are open to all and begin at 6:30 p.m.
What stormwater management projects would be financed through the bond referendum? – A detailed list was gathered from neighborhood evaluations, watershed plans, and citizen comments. The Stormwater Program Advisory Committee (SPAC), a citizen group appointed by the Board of Supervisors and representing County neighborhoods, reviewed and prioritized the projects based on public health and safety, and water quality criteria.
The projects consist of stream restorations, new stormwater facilities, drainage improvements and flood control Improvements. The complete list can be found on the Stormwater Bond Referendum website.

To find a listing of employment opportunities, go online, watch JCC TV, subscribe to an RSS feed or visit the Human Resources Department (101 F Mounts Bay Rd.) or Satellite Services (3127 Forge Rd.) The listing is updated each Friday by 5 p.m.

It’s up to you to fight the flu! – Come to a free flu vaccine clinic on October 19 from 4 - 6 p.m. at James River Elementary School, 8901 Pocahontas Tr. This is a great opportunity for parents to get their children and themselves vaccinated in one visit and for those without health insurance to get the flu vaccine.
