Community Channel 46 Message Board Policy

1. The purpose of the Electronic Message Board is to publicize events, meetings, performances, or public service messages for citizens and non-profit organizations in James City County.
2. The Electronic Bulletin Board appears on Community Channel 46
   between scheduled programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 
3. The Electronic Bulletin Board is a free service available to citizens or organizations in James City County.
4. Announcement forms are available by calling 253-6728 or online
5. Announcement forms must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the requested air date.  Forms can be dropped off or mailed to:

   P.O. Box 8784
   Williamsburg, VA 23187-8784 or faxed to 253-6833.
6. A contact telephone number must be listed in the message.
7. Announcements for ongoing activities must be re-submitted every three months.
8. Photographs or logos may be submitted electronically to msalnoske@james-city.va.us.  Photographs or logos must be at least “dime size” in diameter, and all photographs and logos must be clearly viewable/readable.
9. Communications staff reserves the right to edit any submissions for length or clarity.
10. Individuals or groups are limited to 3 message screens at a time.  Each message screen should have no more than 25 words.
11. Birthday, congratulations, and other personal type messages are not permitted.
12. Political messages are not permitted.
13. Promotion of commercial products or services is not permitted.
