Press Release - Jan Rae Circle Fire - April 1, 2003

Units from the James City County Fire Department assisted by units from the Williamsburg and York County Fire Departments extinguished a fire at 39 Jan Rae Circle in the Grove Community of James City County Monday morning, March 31. The call was received at 07:43 a.m.by the County 911 center. The double-wide mobile home was a complete loss. Two firefighters received minor injuries while fighting the fire, there were no civilian injuries. The two firefighters were treated and released at the scene. The mobile home was owned by Mr. Nathaniel Pate, age 59. Mr. Pate lived in the mobile home alone. The home was insured. The Red Cross is assisting Mr. Pate. James City County Assistant Fire Marshals investigated the cause of the fire and determined it to be accidental.
