Structure Fire Wednesday, December 18

Units from the James City County and York County Fire Departments responded to a house fire at 6090 Centerville Road at 3:52 p.m. on Wednesday December 18. This address is near the Fox Run subdivision in James City County.
Fire Damage was contained to the rear of the home, there was smoke damage throughout. One adult and one teenager were displaced by the fire. One occupant (71 year old Shirley Allen) was transported to Williamsburg Community Hospital for smoke inhalation. There were no other injuries. While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, it appears at this time that it was accidental.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
