James City County Administrator Sandy Wanner and Assistant County Administrator Bill Porter were recently recredentialed for the International City/County Management Association's (ICMA) Credentialed Manager designation. Wanner and Porter are among 803 local government management professionals who are credentialed through the ICMA Voluntary Credentialing Program.
To be credentialed by ICMA, a member must have significant experience as a senior management executive in local government, have earned a degree, preferably in public administration or a related field, and demonstrated a commitment to high standards of integrity and to lifelong learning and professional development.
Wanner currently serves on the Planning Committee for ICMA's 91st Annual Conference in Minneapolis in 2005.
