James City County's Kristiansand named Neighborhood of the Quarter

James City County's Neighborhood Connections has named Kristiansand Homeowners' Association its neighborhood for the third quarter. Neighborhood Connections is honoring one County neighborhood each quarter in 2004 as part of a yearlong celebration of the program's 10th anniversary.
Kristiansand Homeowners' Association maintains a three-acre park used by residents, hosts a variety of seasonal events, publishes a quarterly newsletter, sponsors a "yard of the month," and welcomes newcomers to the development.
Neighborhood Connections provides a variety of services to County neighborhoods that join the program: volunteer liaisons who can help resolve issues and plan meetings, assistance in locating free meeting space, access to a copier and computer, signs that may be borrowed, free announcements on JCC TV 48 to publicize meeting dates, and a monthly mailing with information on training and workshops.
