Planning Commission Public Hearing Notice
The Planning Commission of James City County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 1, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. in the County Government Center Board Room, 101-F Mounts Bay Road, James City County, Virginia, to consider the following:
Case No. SUP-26-04. Action Park of Williamsburg Ride Addition. Mr. Bob Miller, owner of the Action Park of Williamsburg/Go-Karts Plus, has applied for a special use permit to amend the previously approved special use permit for the park. The purpose of the amendment is to permit a new ride within the park. The proposed ride is known as the Disk'O, encompasses an area of approximately 2,700 square feet, is 32 feet at maximum height, and is proposed to be located in the open field next to the Bumper Car Building. The Action Park of Williamsburg is located at 6870 Richmond Road. The property is further identified as Parcel No. (1-18) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (24-3). The property is zoned B-1, General Business, and designated Mixed Use on the 2003 James City County Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map.
Case No. SUP-25-04. Bay Lands Federal Credit Union At Norge. Mr. Tom Derrickson has applied for a Special Use Permit on behalf of Bay Lands Federal Credit Union and property owner Violet J. Beck Estate to allow the construction of a bank and office building on approximately 4.3 acres at 7031 Richmond Road. The property can be further identified as Parcel (1-12) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (24-1). The property is zoned B-1and is designated Low-Density Residential on the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map.
