JAMES CITY COUNTY, VA -- James City County Fire Department responded to a car fire on October 7, in vicinity of Commerce Boulevard in the Grove area of the County. Police units initially responded to the area for the report of gunshots at 10:35 p.m. Upon their arrival at 10:44, they discovered a fully involved car fire. The Fire Department arrived at 10:52 and quickly extinguished the fire. There were no injuries. The car was a total loss.
James City County Fire Marshals investigated and determined the fire was intentionally set. The vehicle had been last seen in Newport News. The vehicle was a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, two door and yellow in color.
