James City County's DMV Select, 3127 Forge Road in Toano, will operate Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Other nearby DMV Selects operated by local governments are in West Point, Poquoson and Mathews County.
"Our contractual partners provide a valuable service to Virginians," said DMV Commissioner D.B. Smit. "James City County's participation in the DMV Select program gives central Virginia and Peninsula area customers another option through which they can receive routine motor vehicle-related services."
"James City County realized the need to provide additional services to residents in the rapidly growing Stonehouse District," said County Administrator Sandy Wanner. "The County's partnership with DMV will allow residents to conduct selected DMV transactions at the same time they are visiting Satellite Services for other County services."
DMV currently has 35 DMV Select partners throughout the state. Each DMV Select has online access to DMV to update customer records immediately as well as issue vehicle decals.
