JAMES CITY COUNTY, VA -- James City County Fire Department responded to a report of a structure at the McDonald's located at 4521 John Tyler Highway. First arriving units reported smoke inside the building. Upon investigation, a deep fat fryer was found to have had an electrical malfunction. Damage was contained to the fryer. The fire department arrived at 6:11 am and left the scene at 6:54 am. No injuries were reported.
