Hershey Track and Field Meet Scheduled at Jamestown High School

James City County, VA (May 5, 2005) - James City County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring this years local Hershey track meet on Thursday, May19, 5:30 p.m. at Jamestown High School. The meet is free to any 9-14 year old boy or girl. Top two finishers in each event will qualify to compete in the Regional meet. Registrations will be taken on day of the meet, proof of age is required. On-site registration starts at 5:00 p.m. Events include the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 1600m, standing long jump, softball throw, and relays. Top finishers qualify to participate in the Eastern District Meet in June and winners advance on to the State Meet in Charlottesville in July.
