Celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week at the Kids All-American Fishing Derby

James City County, VA - James City County's Division of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring an exciting, fun-filled day of fishing that kids will remember for a lifetime. Kids of all ages are invited to test their fishing skills at the Kids All-American Fishing Derby from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 4 at Little Creek Reservoir Park.
Several prizes will be presented; with special awards for the nationwide Fujifilm "Big Fish" contest. Kids catching any size fish at the derby can enter the "I Caught A Fish" Contest. Other prizes include everything from fishing gear to gift certificates.
All kids attending the derby will receive a multi-color souvenir derby sticker, compliments of the national sponsors Berkley, DMF Bait Company, Eagle Claw, Fisher Boy, FishingWorld.com, Fujifilm U.S.A., Kellogg's, Laker Fishing Tackle, Nabisco, Nestle Waters North America, Oscar Meyer, Stanley, Wal-Mart, and Zebco.
James City County Parks and Recreation has a strong commitment to America's youth and is proud to celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week by sponsoring an unforgettable day of fishing for kids and their families.
