JCC's Fire Station 2 sets open house Oct. 15

James City County's Fire Station 2, 8429 Pocahontas Trail, will hold an open house Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is being held in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week Oct. 9-15. The theme this year is "Use Candles with Care." Here are some of the activities planned:

 

• Grilled hot dogs
• Videos, games and prizes
• Tour the fire station, meet firefighters
• Free smoke and carbon monoxide alarms for County residents
• Fire safety information
• Ident a Kid
• Health screenings
• Disaster preparedness information
