TEMPORARY DISRUPTION TO JAMESTOWN-SCOTLAND FERRY SERVICE - Motorists Should Expect Approximately 30 Minute Delays

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Williamsburg from Jamestown-Scotland Ferry service for emergency maintenance early Thursday afternoon. Motorists should expect approximately 30 minute delays until the boat is restored to service.
On-site maintenance crews detected unusual vibrations coming from the boat during their daily inspection earlier today. Divers will inspect the vessel this evening. Crews will make repairs and restore the boat to service as quickly as possible.
