Bruce Goodson is named VACo Committee Chair

James City County Board of Supervisors Chairman Bruce Goodson has been appointed Chair of the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo) Community Development and Planning Committee. In addition, Goodson will serve on VACo’s Resolutions Committee.
Goodson, who represents the Roberts District, also served as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors in 2004. He currently represents the County on the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance, the High Growth Coalition, the School Liaison Subcommittee and the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is also Chairman of the County’s 2007 Community Program Committee and active in the National Association of Counties.
VACo’s Community Development and Planning Committee considers proposals for the association’s legislative program concerning land use planning, economic development, infrastructure and growth management. VACo’s Resolutions Committee approves the association’s legislative program before it is voted on by the membership.
