THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS OF JAMES CITY AUGUST 7, 2008, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE BOARD ROOM, 101-F MOUNTS BAY ROAD, JAMES CITY COUNTY, VIRGINIA TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING CASE:
ZA-0006-2008 2714 Chickahominy Road
Mr. Keith Denny, on behalf of the Office of Housing and Community Development, has applied for a variance to Section 24-353 (a) Yard Regulations, of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to allow for the construction of a single family dwelling at 2714 Chickahominy Road. The variance requested is to reduce the required side yard setback from 15 feet to 3.5 feet. The property is currently zoned R-8, Rural Residential and can further be identified as James City County Real Estate Tax Map Number (21-4-01-0-0021).
ZA-0007-2008 120 Forest Heights Road
Mr. Paul White of Paul White Builder, has applied for variances to Section 24-256, Setback Requirements, and Section 24-258(b), Yard Regulations, of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a single-family dwelling at 120 Forest Heights Drive. The variances requested are to reduce the required front setback from 50 feet from the center of the right-of-way to 30 feet from the center of the right-of-way and to reduce the required 35-foot rear yard setback to 20 feet. The property is currently zoned R-2, General Residential Zoning District, and can be further identified as James City County Tax Map Number (32-2-04-0-0005).
