With almost two months under his belt, new James City County Administrator, Robert “Bob” Middaugh, is ready to hit the road to meet and listen to County residents in a series of meetings sponsored by individual Board of Supervisors members. Each discussion is designed to give citizens an opportunity to meet Middaugh, talk with their local elected official and open new dialogue about the County’s overall direction, value of services and openness to citizen participation.

"My years in local government have taught me the importance of citizen involvement and two-way communication,” says Middaugh. “Listening to taxpayers is vital as decisions and policies are made to address growth and change. I hope these conversations will enhance that respect and confidence in our County government as we look to the future."

County residents are invited to attend any of the meetings held over five consecutive Thursdays beginning September 30. Each discussion starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be hosted by the Board of Supervisors member in their respective District.

  • September 30, Berkeley District hosted by Supervisor Mary Jones James City/Williamsburg Community Center (Room C), 5301 Longhill Road
