Historical Commission seeks nominations for Historic Preservation Awards
The James City County Historical Commission is seeking nominations for the 2012 Historic Preservation Awards. Historic Preservation Awards are presented by the Historical Commission to individuals, groups or organizations that have made a significant contribution to the preservation of historic resources in the County.
Nominations can be made for anyone active in identifying, documenting, preserving or disseminating educational information about the County’s historic buildings, archaeological sites or other historic resources. Forms and return instructions are available online or by calling 757-253-6685. Nomination forms are due March 19.
The Commission is also accepting applications for new members interested in promoting their mission to document, commemorate, preserve, protect and promote the rich historical heritage of James City County. Applications are available online.
