Development Review Committee (DRC)
The Development Review Committee (DRC) is a subcommittee of the Planning Commission. Members are appointed annually by the Chair of the Planning Commission. The 2012 DRC members are Chris Basic (Chair), Rich Krapf, George Drummond, and Mike Maddocks. The DRC reviews development plans which propose any of the following:
- a single building or group of buildings with a total floor area exceeding 30,000 square feet
a residential development of 50 or more units - two entrances on the same road
- a fast food restaurant or shopping center
The DRC may also hear cases if any of the following apply:
- there are any unresolved problems between the applicant, adjacent property owners, or any reviewing agency
- a conceptual plan has not been submitted in accordance with County requirements
- the development plan varies significantly from an approved master plan
- requests for exceptions and waivers to the site plan and subdivision ordinances
All meetings are held in Building A of the Government Complex, 101 Mounts Bay Rd., at 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The DRC reviews cases to ensure compliance with the County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. The recommendations of the DRC are approved at the monthly Planning Commission meetings.
Copies of DRC minutes and staff reports may be obtained by contacting the Planning office. The DRC agenda is posted the Friday before the meeting.
