Targeted/Minority Business Information
Any targeted business seeking assistance in understanding or completing any bids or proposals should seek the assistance of the Purchasing Office. A "targeted business" means businesses that are small, locally owned, locally operated, or owned by a woman or minority.
James City County is a member of the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council, an organization dedicated to promoting and facilitating the development of business relationships between its members and certified minority-owned enterprises. The Council has a number of programs to serve targeted and minority businesses such as certification, referrals, loans, trade fairs, directories and mentorship programs.
