Program Activities
Special Programs
GREAT Program: In partnership with the James City County Police Department, the gang resistance education and training program offers hands-on interactive activities which empower youth with the knowledge and skills to resist negative leisure choices and respond positively in everyday peer situations.
- Peer Mediation and Peace Corner: In partnership with our local 4-H Extension Department, the program teaches conflict resolution program: ages 5 -14 and is designed to empower youth to lead & solve problems in our program and everyday situations.
- S.H.I.P (School Health Initiative Project): In partnership with WJCC Schools, through fun and interactive activities, the program incorporates daily messages of healthy eating, active play, and positive leisure choices.
- Williamsburg Regional Library: In partnership, we offer a one month books for breakfast during the school year, a six week summer reading program, and weekly visits from library mobile services during summer camp programs.
Daily Activities (Schedules may vary)
Before School Program (elementary)
- Program Start: 7a.m.
- Scheduled Activities: gym time, activity play stations, arts & crafts
- Preparation for School and Morning Attendance
- School Start: children dismissed to class
After School Program (elementary)
- School Dismissal: arrival of children, check-in and role call
- Snack Time (provided daily)
- Scheduled Activity Rotations: homework, gym, games, clubs, outdoor play
- Winding Down: activity play stations
- Program End: 6p.m.
Middle School After School Program
Field Trip every Friday!! Pickup at James City/Williamsburg Community
Center
- School Dismissal: arrival of children, check-in and role call
- Snack Time (provided daily)
- Scheduled Activity Rotations: homework, gym, games, clubs, outdoor play
- Winding Down: activity play stations
- Program End: 6p.m
Summer Camp Program
Each site has a weekly theme, swim and field trip day

| 1-2 p.m. | The Quiet Zone Rotations: story time, reading time, quiet activity stations |

| 4:30-5:30 p.m. | Kidz Choice |
| 5:45-6 p.m. | Winding Down: group clean up, activity stations |
