Program Information

 

The Rec Connect School Age Program is celebrating over 20 years of providing quality summer camps and before and after school programs to our community!

 

Dependable and safe fun, games galore, fun fitness activities, creative crafts, interactive reading, team projects, drama, music, environmental education, swimming and field trips are just a few great features of this camp program! In addition, our programs include state licensure, partnerships with WJCC School S.H.I.P. (School Health Initiative Project), Williamsburg Regional Library, 4-H/Extension and many others who help us keep our programming new, fun and exciting for your children.

Rec Connect School Age Program will continue to work in partnership with our families and community to provide safe and responsive programs that meet the diverse needs of our children in a fun and caring environment.

General Information

 

Before and After School 2007-2008
Location: Before and After School Programs are offered at all elementary schools.  The After School Program is offered at all middle schools*.  James Blair and Berkeley Middle Schools will combine at Berkeley.
Dates:** Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - Friday, June 13, 2008

 

Hours of Operation: (subject to change for 08/09 school year)
Elementary Before School Program 7-school start; Middle and Elementary After School Programs school dismissal until 6 p.m.  Programs are offered on both half days and full teacher workdays.

 

Fees: (for 07/08 school year; subject to change for 08/09 school year)
Elementary Before and After School:
  Before School - $20/week; After School - $30/week; Before and After School - $40/week
Middle School After School: $16/week

 

Inclement Weather Policy
Inclement weather, unusual circumstances or program cancellation
If school is delayed: Before School program is closed
If school is dismissed early: After School program will resume at dismissal (parent/guardian has one hour from the time of dismissal to pick up their child)
If school is closed: Before and After School program is closed

 

Rec Connect Summer Camp 2008 (Registration 2008-09 priority deadline: May 2, 2008)

Ages:5-14 (must have completed kindergarten)

Location: Elementary: Clara Byrd Baker, DJ Montague, James River, Norge and Stonehouse

Middle School*: James Blair and Toano
Dates:** Monday, June 16, 2008 - Friday, August 22, 2008

 

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday from 7a.m. - 6p.m.

 

Fees:
Full-time: $85 ($5 resident discount) + field trip fees

Part time: $65 ($5 resident discount) + field trip fees

Multiple child discount for full time registrants only: $10 discount per child after initial registrant

 

*The Rec Connect Middle School Programs are for grades 6-8: participants must have completed 5th grade

**In observance of holidays, programs will not operate on specific holidays
