The Y-Child Watch program provides patrons a place to leave their children while they take a class, swim in the pool, or use the fitness area or gymnasium. The Division of Parks and Recreation is very pleased to have the Greater Williamsburg YMCA as a partner in the operation of the childcare center. Y-Child Watch utilizes a creative curriculum guide specially designed for use with multiage groupings of children from three months through eleven years of age. Free play is a part of the everyday curriculum. Service is only for children of center patrons.
Staff is certified in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid; each staff person has had a criminal background check and Child Protective Services clearance along with a current TB test.
