Camping Rules

 

Tents1. No person shall consume or possess an open or previously opened container containing any alcoholic beverage, or be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage while in public park and recreation facilities.

 

2. No person shall consume, possess or be under the influence of any controlled substance, as defined by the code of Virginia , while in public park’s and recreation facilities.

 

3. No person shall make a fire anywhere in the park other than in grills, fireplaces, or other areas as designated and approved for such use. All fires will be closely monitored and completely extinguished by the persons starting and using them before those persons leave the immediate vicinity and/or before going to bed.

 

4. All park patrons are responsible for registration and the payment of user fees associated with park use. Camping rates include two adults using a single camping site.  One family and a maximum of two camping units per site are permitted, one of which must be a tent.  Family is identified as immediate unmarried children living with parents.

 

5. Campsites can be reserved up to 60 days in advance.

 

6. 10:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. are designated as quiet hours.  All bright lights and noise levels should be reduced in consideration of other park patrons.

 

7. Payment of the full camping fee is required for camping reservations.  Should a reservation be cancelled prior to 24 hours from camping date, a $10.00 administrative fee will be deducted and the balance will be refunded.

 

8. Your registration form must be visible on vehicles at all times.  If there is more than one vehicle please request a second car pass in the registration office.

 

9. Camping sites will be assigned; moving to another site Without prior consent of the management is prohibited.  You may be charged for both sites.

 

10. The dumping of raw sewage or gray water is prohibited.

 

11. The cutting of trees or any other vegetation is prohibited within the park.

 

12. Fireworks are prohibited per code 3103.2 of the VA statewide fire prevention code.

 

13. While using the boat ramp boat trailers will be parked in designated areas only.

 

14. No camper shall infringe or interfere upon another’s right of usage or enjoyment of the park.

 

15. Reserved Campsites must be occupied a minimum of six (6) hours a day by the person who reserved it and may be reserved for no more than thirty (30) days in a sixty (60) day period. 

 

16. Rain-checks given for camping reservations are valid only until the end of the year in which they are issued.

 

17. All off-road vehicles such as three or four wheelers, mini bikes, or go-carts are prohibited. Golf carts and bicycles are allowed.

 

18. The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. Operation hours are 11am to 8pm Friday through Monday and 11am to 6pm Tuesday through Thursday. Hours subject to change due to the weather.

 

19. The golf driving range and Boat Rentals are open at 7am and close one and a half hour prior to the store closing.

 

20. Pool fees and boat launch fees are included when customers are camping.
