Mid County Park Rules and Regulations

 

  1. Animals are not permitted on or within 50 feet of playgrounds or athletic fields.  Animal must be on leash not exceeding eight feet in length, under complete and immediate control of the owner at all times while in park.  Owners must remove all animal waste.
  2. No alcohol or controlled substances are allowed on James City County property.
  3. Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas. 
  4. No persons shall engage in games of chance in James City County parks.
  5. Unauthorized persons shall not carry concealed weapons, nor shall they have on or about their person dangerous or deadly weapons.
  6. Open fires are not permitted except in designated grilling areas.
  7. Children under the age of 12 years are required to be accompanied by an adult or guardian 16 years or older.
  8. No skateboards, bicycles or motorized vehicles are allowed on the playground.
  9. Skateboards or motorized vehicles allowed in designated areas only.
  10. Please ensure proper use of equipment and property at all times.  Damage to, and/or improper use could result in suspension.
  11. James City County Parks and Recreation is not responsible for lost and stolen items.
  12. No soliciting or unauthorized sales on James City County property.
  13. Hitting golf balls, javelin throwing, flying model airplanes, shooting bottle rockets or performing any activity on athletic fields or in parks that are detrimental to sports turf or hazardous to other park users not allowed.

 

We encourage a healthy and clean community.  Please keep our park clean by putting litter in trash containers. James City County Parks and Recreation encourages all citizens to wash your hands after usage of facilities and equipment.
