Skate Park

Located next to the James City/Williamsburg Community Center, the James City County Skate Parkis 10,000 square feet of concrete jumps and ramps. It also features two movable ramps, a rail, a hand rail, and multiple grinding edges. There are separate times for bikes and boards and they are not allowed to use the facility at the same time. Helmets and protective are recommended for your protection. Spectators are not permitted inside fenced area. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to dark daily. Park will close in the event of inclement weather.
Operational Hours
The James City County Skate Park will be open daily from 9 a.m. until dark. It is open year round, weather permitting. Designated times for bikes only are noon – 3 p.m. on Saturdays & Tuesdays, and 3 – 6 p.m. on Sundays and Thursdays.
Rules and Regulations
- Skateboards, in-line skates, and scooters are permitted to use the facility at the same time. There are separate times designated bike use only.
- This facility is used by youth and adults with all levels of experience and expertise. Serious injury may result from colliding with other users, falling on the concrete surface and flying objects. James City County does not assume responsibility for injuries. USE OF FACILITY IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
- Children under 12 years of age be accompanied by 16-year old or older teen or adult.
- Helmets and protective gear (wrist guards, elbow and kneepads) are recommended for your protection.
- Spectators are not permitted inside the fenced area.
- James City County Parks and Recreation reserves the right to change the hours of operation as necessary and close the park in the event of inclement weather.
- Smoking is not permitted within the skating area (includes all fenced areas).
- Food and drinks are not permitted inside the fenced area.
- James City County Parks and Recreation is not responsible for lost and stolen items.
- No bicycles or motorized vehicles are allowed.
- No soliciting or unauthorized sales are allowed on James City County property.
- No alcohol or controlled substances are allowed on James City County property.
- After hours use will result in a trespassing citation and possible suspension from facility.
WARNING: Skateboarding and in-line skating can be hazardous recreational activities which may result in death, paralysis, brain damage, broken bones, or other serious injuries. Use this facility at your own risk.
