During the renovations at the James City/Williamsburg Community Center, patrons from the community center will have access to our outdoor pools. Some swim classes have also been relocated to the outdoor pools. Please click here to see the classes scheduled at Upper County Park this summer.
This 91-acre park has a 25m outdoor pool, playground, sand volleyball court, a 3-mile mountain bike trail, basketball court, multi-use field (soccer-size) and picnic shelters, one which seats approximately 150 people and two that seat approximately 50 people each. Admission to the park is free and there is a nominal charge to swim or rent the shelter. The park is open daily 8:00 a.m. to sunset. The pool is open Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, weekends only until mid-June. Pool hours are from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. The pool may be rented for an after hours party between the hours of 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. during the operational season.
