How to Register for a program in the Current Activity Brochure
To register for any class you must have an annual activity waiver on file. This document is also available at both of our Community Centers or at the Satellite Services Office in Toano. Bring your completed waiver and photo identification to one of our walk-in registration locations for processing. Please pay by check (payable to James City County Parks and Recreation), Visa or MasterCard, Cash, or money order. Your completed registration form and payment can be submitted in one of four ways:
Online Registration*
To register online, you will need to know your household ID number and password. If you have never registered for a program or activity with James City County Parks and Recreation before, please complete your initial registration at one of our walk-in locations listed below, where you will receive a household ID and password that you can use for future online registration.
If you have forgotten your household ID number or password, please call the James City/Williamsburg Community Center at 757-259-4200 or the James River Community Center at 757-887-5810 to request this information.
Your registration is final after you complete the check out process. If you choose to disconnect before receiving a verification message, your transaction will be automatically deleted. James City County uses the latest online payment security.
*To use the online registration option you cannot have a balance on your Parks & Recreation account.
Mail-In
Attach check or money order for correct amount, payable to James City County Parks and Recreation, or credit card number, and mail to:

Walk-In
Stop by one of the following locations during business hours:
- Satellite Services Office: 3127 Forge Road, Toano
- James City/Williamsburg Community Center: 5301 Longhill Road
- James River Community Center: 8901 Pocahontas Trail/ Route 60
Phone In/Fax In
Credit card payments are accepted by phone at the James River Community Center, 757-887-5810, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on weekdays.
Registration forms, including credit card information, can also be sent via fax to the James City/Williamsburg Community Center, 757-259-4199, or James River Community Center, (757) 887-1652.
Register early, as classes may fill up quickly! If minimum enrollment is not reached one week before the start date of the class, the activity will be cancelled. If class/activity has not reached its maximum, registration will be accepted up to the start of the second-class period, unless otherwise noted.
Class Cancellation
If class/activity is cancelled, you will be notified by phone. You may transfer to another class or request a refund.

Refund requests can be mailed to 5300 Palmer Lane, Suite 1A, Williamsburg, VA 23188-2674 (Attention: Refund Office), turned into any of the Community Centers, or faxed to 757-259-5420.

Financial Assistance
All JCC and Williamsburg residents may apply for a discount for Parks and Recreation program activities. Residents wishing to apply for the discount will be required to complete a Financial Assistance Application and provide proof of income annually. Income eligibility information and Financial Assistance Applications may be obtained at any Parks and Recreation facility.
