Joined the Commission in order to improve the county environment.

Alan Bennett (1995-current)
I responded to an ad on the County cable channel asking for commission volunteers after having moved to Williamsburg from Hampton. I was looking for ways to get more involved in my community. I have been with the commission since 1995.
Commission Work
I am primarily responsible for initiatives related to environmental education. Recently I have been mostly involved with establishing and coordinating the "Waste Chase," a tour of the county that is intended to help broaden the county residents' awareness regarding environmental issues and explain how they can become personally involved.

- Currently a Project manager for Siemens VDO Automotive Corporation in Newport News. Formerly managed the Environmental Health and Safety department.

Charles Loundermon (1999-current)

- Distributes JC4 educational material and information to volunteers and others
Occupation - Retired from U.S. military career and Federal Government.
Peg Boarman (1979-80, 2001-current)
On the Committee with Jim Robertson that formed the original idea of the "Clean County (Commisssion) in 1979 and 1980. Became interested again when told of a vacancy again in 2001.

Occupation - Retired Husband was transferred to Ft. Eustis in 1970, at which time the family moved here and after his retirement in 1975 he started a new career and the family became Virginia residents. Husband passed away in 1998. Five grown daughters, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
