Leaf Collection
Collections are complete for 2007-2008. Bagged leaves will be collected in three cycles during November, December and January. Collection is determined by voting districts. Refer to the schedule below for your zone and corresponding collection dates. This is the only leaf collection provided by the County. Bagged leaves can also be self-hauled to the
Jolly Pond Convenience Center
during operating hours (one coupon per four lawn and leaf-sized bags is required).

General Rules
Bagged leaves must be left curbside by 8 a.m. on the FIRST day of collection in your zone. Leaves set out after the first day may not be collected until the following cycle or can be self-hauled to the Jolly Pond Convenience Center (coupons required). Each street in your zone will be collected once during your scheduled week.
Clear bags are required. Bags should be no larger than lawn or leaf-size bags (40 gallons or less). There is no limit to the number of bags you can set out. Bulky materials such as brush and tree limbs CANNOT be accepted.
Burning of leaves is not permitted in James City County, except in certain areas zoned A-1, General Agriculture.
Bagged leaves are available for commercial or residential composting.
