What are your mailing and physical addresses, and your hours of operation? Both of our locations are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
Do you accept credit card payments? The Treasurer’s office accepts Visa and MasterCard payments at both the Kingsmill and Toano branches. You may also use Visa and MasterCard online at our ePayment site.
How do I make out my check? You may combine personal property and real estate tax payments on one check. Please make the check payable to: Treasurer, James City County.
Do you accept postmark for tax payments? We do accept postmark. We also have a drop box located in the front of our building that is cleared at 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day or also the drop box located at JCC Satellite Office at 566-0363.
When are dog tags due and how much are they? Dog tags go on sale November 1 and are due by January 31. The current rate is $5.00 per year for spayed or neutered dogs and $8.00 per year for male or female dogs. The County currently offers a multi-year decal based on the expiration date of the dog’s rabies vaccination.
How many landfill coupons do I need for...? Depending on the item(s) being disposed of, the number of coupons varies.
